A Worcester coffee can, decorated in the pattern known as 'Royal
Lily' or 'Queen Charlotte' pattern, c1790. The coffee can has the Worcester
underglaze blue open crescent mark on the base a mark used at this famous
factory, c1783 92. This coffee can is c1790.

The charming design in blue is a stylised lily flower set in
vertical panels around the body of the coffee can. It is a very attractive and
striking design in blue. This design is bounded top and bottom by a darker
cobalt blue border on which are alternating panels of gilt geometric and floral
designs.

The handle of the coffee can is of an elegant ear shape and is
embellished with fine gilt decoration, including a leaf decoration to the back
portion..

The underside of the coffee can is marked with the underglaze
blue open crescent mark of the Worcester factory. The rim of the cup is of iron
red.

In the base of the coffee can, there is a stylised flower in
blue and gold.
This is a beautiful Worcester coffee can decorated with the
'Royal Lily' or 'Queen Charlotte' pattern, c1790.

This delightfully elegant Worcester coffee can is in excellent condition with
no chips, cracks, repairs or restoration. The gilt decoration is in very good
order. The only extremely minor imperfection is a tiny spot of wear to the red
rim. It is a very fine Worcester coffee can for the connoisseur collector of
Worcester porcelain or Early English wares.
