The tea bowl has the Royal blue stripe equally spaced in six positions round its body. The centre of each blue stripe has a white gap in which there is a blue diamond in a gilt circle. The blue stripes are bounded with gilded lines and on the blue strip a gilded cross design.

Between the blue stripes are festoons of stylised flowers and foliage in underglaze blue and gold. It is certainly a very elegant design of decoration.

The tea bowl has a scalloped rim which is also gilded. The tea bowl stands upon a raised foot rim at the top of which is a gilded line round the base of the bowl. Inside the bowl of the tea bowl is an underglaze blue and gilded star.
