Worcester, 'First Period' blue and white printed jug lid, Probably 'Fence Pattern' with flower finial, c1775

(p103-16)

This is a lid that belongs to a sparrow beak type  First Period Worcester milk jug. It dates from c1775 and has a blue print of what I think is part of the 'Fence pattern' prints, including the two flying birds. It has a flower finial.

Size and Weight: (values are approximate)

bullet2" (50 mm) diameter of the lid.
bullet38mm diameter of the lid rim which fits into the vessel.
bullet24gms in weight

Marks:

There are no manufacturer's marks.

Condition:

This Worcester lid does have some damage and restoration to the flower finial, which is noticeable. It also has a few tiny chips to the inner rim. If you have a Fence pattern Worcester jug of this period without a lid, this would still be a nice lid to have.
