flutes giving it a very elegant shape. The moulded fluting is also applied to
the cover of the jug.

The body of the jug has hand painted green monochrome fruits and
flower decoration. On the left side of the jug there is a budded rose and on the
other side fruits which appear to be green apples. A small flower head also
appears on the front of the jug.

The jug stands upon a circular foot rim around the top of which
is a gilded dentil band of decoration.

There is a pointed sparrow beak spout to the jug and the rim of
the jug, including the spout has the same gilded dentil work that appears around
the foot rim of the jug.

A charming ear shaped delicate handle is given to this jug, this
is finely embellished with a gilded rococo 'C' scroll design on the back edge.

The cover of the jug is really beautiful having a moulded and
applied flower finial and green monochrome rose decoration.

The shape of the cover is a low dome, with scalloped rim. The
rim is given the same dentil type of gilt decoration as on the jug.
There is a charming green monochrome rose bud painted on the
cover, matching the one on the body of the jug.

A delicately moulded flower gives this cover a charming cover a
most elegant appearance. This flower is very finely moulded with delicate petals
around the central flower stamens. The flower is joined to the jug by its stem
and has two leaves at the end of the stem. The flower petals, stamens and
leaves are edged with gilding.
