The elegant tea bowl has a moulded vertically fluted body with a scalloped rim edged in brown enamel.

The tea bowl is exquisitely decorated with hand painted polychrome flower sprays and a Ladybird. The colourful flower sprays include a main spray of purple, red and yellow flowers with green foliage and then there is a subsequent smaller single purple flower sprig and leaves.  A most charming feature of the decoration is a delightful bright red Ladybird with black spots, obviously attracted by the bright flowers.

The tea bowl stands upon a circular raised foot rim.

The saucer has the same moulded  reeded shape as the tea bowl and has also the same scalloped rim which is embellished with a brown enamel line.

The saucer carries the same decoration as the tea bowl. It too has a main flower spray in coloured enamels, with a minor sprig and leaves. Also, the same type of bright red Ladybird graces the saucer making this a perfect match to the tea bowl.

There are no manufacturer's marks on the tea bowl or saucer, but this is definitely a Worcester tea bowl and saucer from the famous Worcester factory,  c1775.
