This Worcester dessert dish is marked on the underside with an underglaze blue script 'W', a mark used at the famous Worcester factory in various forms c1755-70. This particular dessert dish with this type of decoration dates from c1770.

This remarkable early Worcester dessert dish is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or restoration. The polychrome and gilt decoration are in extremely good condition with only the tiniest of wear to the dentil rim gilding. The only extremely manufacturing fault are a couple of tiny areas where the blue ground colour is a little dull where the glaze has not taken over it (see picture below). This is very minor and part of the dishes manufacture.

Certainly a very fine early Worcester dessert dish for the connoisseur collector of early English or Worcester porcelain.
