The body of this delightful sucrier and cover is of a slender oval or boat shape with vertical moulded fluting.

The decoration of the body of the sucrier is of an applied gold Etruscan border, a design quite synonymous with the English Regency period of the early nineteenth century. This pattern is also sometimes referred too as the 'Greek Key' pattern. It is listed in the patterns of the Chamberlain Worcester factory as 'Hambleton, gold Etruscan border'. This design is quite striking in appearance especially with the very rich honey coloured gilding.

The sucrier has open loop handles at each end. These are enriched with gilt edges and central line down the handles.

The cover of the sucrier is oval in shape and of a low domed form.

The decoration of the cover is the same as the sucrier itself, with the applied gold Etruscan border around the rim.

There is an oval moulded finial which has a gold decoration applied to the top.

The rim of the sucrier and around the base is a gold line.
