The cup is of a straight sided shape with spiral fluted mouldings around the body. These moulded lines show the characteristic 'Chamberlain Worcester' 'tram line' moulding (this being a double line to each spiral moulding).

The decoration of the cup has a rich underglaze cobalt blue wide border around the inner rim of the cup. Applied onto this cobalt blue border are foliate swages in honey coloured gilding. This blue border is bounded with gilt lines.

The outside of the cup is beautifully decorated with finely gilded  leaves all over the body, which are most charming and very striking. A gilt line then runs around the base portion of the cup.

The handle to the cup is of a closed loop form, which is very elegant.

The saucer is decorated in the same way as the cup, with rich cobalt blue and gilt decoration. In addition the centre of the saucer has a gilt circle outlining the profile of the cup base and in the centre a further gilt leave sprig.

It is marked with the pattern number 386 in gold under the saucer set near to the foot rim.
