New Hall Tea Bowl and Saucer, Pattern 161, Stylistic Flower Sprigs and Bouquet Decoration, Flower and Foliage Garland Border, c1795(p1143)
This is a very attractive New Hall tea bowl and saucer decorated with pattern number 161 and dating from c1795. The tea bowl and saucer are of the New Hall hybrid 'hard paste' porcelain making them feel and look very fine. Although the pieces are not marked with the pattern number, the major pieces are, such as the slops basin - which is on my web site also. To check price and availability:

Although the pieces are not marked with the pattern number, the major pieces are, such as the slops basin - which is on my web site also.
This charming New Hall tea bowl and saucer are in quite good condition with no chips, repairs or restoration. The only imperfections are a fine hairline crack across the base of the saucer about 2¼" in length, but very firm (shown in the two pictures below)

There is also some crazing in the glaze of the saucer, as shown in the two pictures below.

Despite these slight imperfections it is still a very good New Hall tea bowl and saucer for the collector of New Hall or early English porcelain.
