New Hall Slops Bowl, Pattern 161, Stylistic Flower Sprigs and Bouquet Decoration, Flower and Foliage Garland Border, c1795(p1144)
This is a very attractive New Hall slops bowl decorated with pattern number 161 and dating from c1795. The slops bowl is of the New Hall hybrid 'hard paste' porcelain making it feel and look very fine. The slops basin is marked with the New Hall pattern number in orange '191'. (note the picture of the mark is up the wrong way and is actually 191.

This charming New Hall slops bowl is in excellent condition with no cracks, repairs or restoration. there is only a small chip on the base of the foot rim, as shown in the picture below and a little speckling of the glaze on the underside of the bowl. Otherwise, a perfect bowl for the connoisseur collector of New Hall or early English porcelain.
