| 6" (152mm) height of the teapot to the tip of the flower finial. | |
| 8" (204mm) the length of the teapot from the tip of the spout to the back edge of the handle. | |
| 5" (127mm) approx. max. diameter of the body of the teapot. | |
| 1lb 5oz (583gms) total weight of teapot and cover. |
The underside of the teapot carried the Worcester underglaze blue open crescent. This teapot dates to c1775.

This magnificent Worcester teapot is in very good condition with only very minor wear to the fine gilt decoration.
There is a mysterious circular patch on one side of the teapot towards the spout, which looks like a glaze fault. See the pictures below. This little patch is approx 10mm in diameter and looks like the glaze is very thin and with tiny pitting within it.

The flower finial appears to have one piece of petal missing (on the left side of the pictures below). However, the broken edge does appear to be glazed over, so this may have been from the manufacturing?

There are two very tiny firing cracks, one on the joint of the spout to the body of the teapot, the other to the inside top of the handle. These are shown in the pictures below. They are both very small and insignificant.

Finally, on the cover's inner rim there is what appears another tiny firing fault. The colour looks a little dark as if it has been filled, but I do not believe this to be the case, I think is is just a manufacturing fault.
This is certainly a very handsome early Worcester teapot and cover that is very pretty and beautifully decorated. A fine addition to any collection of early Worcester or English porcelain.
