The quality of the deep blue and white printed decoration is extremely good and clear. Originally, there would have been four of these fan shaped section which would have surrounded a circular dish in the centre and would have been used to serve supper in a Georgian household.

Supper Section one:

This supper section has the main 'fan-shaped'  full nanking print in the base of the section. This pattern shows a full Chinese landscape, with Islands, buildings, trees, a bridge and people. Starting from the left side of the print there are two Chinese characters in front of houses and temples on a large Island. These houses and temples are surrounded by hills, trees and shrubs.

From the main Island there is a stone built bridge passing across to anther rocky Island. The bridge has a wooden fence and on the bridge are two people crossing it.

On the Island to the right of the scene are more houses and temples with mountains behind.

On the water between the two Islands sail two boats and high in the sky fly a 'V' formation of birds. This is certainly a very full and charming oriental scene.

The scene in the base of the section dish is bordered with a hexagonal, birds eye design band of decoration. Then in the curved sides of the dish is a very intricate and decorative wide band of oriental style decoration. this wide band includes panels bounded with scrolls and drapes and in which are hills, trees and houses. Various oriental patterns and sections go to constructing this very fine border.

Finally, the rim of the supper dish is printed with small circular sections with a dot in the centre of each.

On the underside of the supper section, there is the blue 'S' and 'x' mark, used at the famous Caughley factory c1775-90.

This very fine supper section is in very good condition, with no cracks, restoration or major chips. the only minute imperfections are two very small flake chips on the two outer corners of the dish, these really are minute and do not detract from this stunning and rare supper set section.

Supper Section two:

This second supper section has the main 'fan-shaped'  full nanking print in the base of the section, identical to the first section of the suppers set. This pattern shows a full Chinese landscape, with Islands, buildings, trees, a bridge and people.
