The quality of the decoration of the plate is very fine. This decoration includes a rich under glaze cobalt blue band of diamonds around the rim on which is are gilt embellishments and between each blue diamond, a sprig of gilt foliage. This same ring of blue and gilt decoration is echoed around the centre portion of the plate.

Between the two rings of blue diamonds with gilt foliage are three flower sprigs, equally spaced around the plate. Each of these three flowers is different, but each with an underglaze blue flower with fine gilding for foliage.

In the very centre of the plate there is a blue and gilt star burst completing the decoration of this plate.

The plate has the Barr Worcester impressed mark of a 'B' on the under side, together with a decorators mark of a '5' in purple painted on the inside edge of the foot rim.

The scalloped rim of the plate is gilded.

A delightful piece of Barr Worcester porcelain from c1795.  It would be a wonderful addition to any collection of Barr Worcester porcelain.
