A very attractive First Period Worcester tea canister dating from c1775. This delightful oval shaped tea canister is exquisitely decorated with a main bouquet of colourful flowers together with a smaller bouquet and single sprigs doted around the canister's body.

The main bouquet of flowers is beautifully painted with bright enamel colours in pink, orange, blue, green, yellow and purple.

The smaller bouquet on the reverse side of the canister is more subdued, but of the same quality of painting, as are the single floral sprigs that adorn the tea canister's body.

There is a raised neck collar to the canister. Originally, this would have had a lid, which, as with many tea canister of this period, is now missing. The collar is embellished with a gilt line where it joins the oval body and a line of elongated dots and dots around the mid point of the collar.

The tea canister is raised up on a circular foot, the rim of which is gilded.

This is a beautiful First Period Worcester Tea Canister, colourful floral decoration, c1775.
