A delightful First Period Worcester pear shaped milk jug, decorated with an underglaze blue and white 'Three Flowers' pattern c1780.

This delightful jug is decorated on the left hand side with the main three flower decoration, the right side has a smaller  floral sprig and the front of the jug a smaller floral spray over which is a delicate butterfly.

 

The jug has a plain open loop handle and the rim of the jug has a double blue line around it.

   

The jug is marked on the underside with the underglaze blue Worcester crescent mar, c1780. This mark is distorted due to its location over the moulded circle in the jug's base.

Condition:

This pretty Worcester sparrow beak milk jug is in good condition with no cracks, repairs or restoration. The only minor imperfection is a very tiny flake chip on the left side of the pouring lip 2mm x 1mm, shown in the picture below.
