Coalport Spiral Shanked Tea Bowl, Gilded Leaf Garland Decoration, c1800

A most elegant Coalport Tea Bowl with spiral shanked moulded body. This beautiful Tea Bowl is decorated with rich honey coloured gilding, this comprising a delicate garland of foliage around the inside and outside of the rim. In addition there are thickly gilded lines, one around the foot rim and another around the rim itself. The bowl has a gilded sprig in the centre.

There is no manufacturer's mark on this tea bowl, but is from the famous English Coalport factory and dates from c1800.
