The teapot is of a plain globular shape, having a feather moulded handle and beautifully moulded and decorated spout. The drop-in cover of the teapot has a button shaped finial.

The teapot is beautifully decorated with a blue and white print of an oriental landscape which includes pagodas, islands with houses, rocks and trees. The blue of this decoration is very vivid and rich in appearance. This landscape pattern appears on both sides of the teapot.

Around the shoulder of the teapot's body is a decorative band of oriental style blue decoration. The band of decoration between thickly gilded lines include a diaper design.

The spout of the teapot is also beautifully moulded and embellished with underglaze blue floral decoration. Again this is beautifully embellished with rich gilded decoration to the top and underside as well as tip of the spout.

There is an open loop handle to the teapot. It has a feather-like moulding. It is then embellished with blue floral decoration and has applied gilded decoration.

The circular cover of the teapot is exquisitely decorated in the same design as the teapot's body. The quality of the blue and white decoration is wonderfully crisp and clear. The lid has a moulded and gilded button finial.

The Teapot stand is decorated with the same 'Willow Nankin' design as the teapot. The teapot stand is of a moulded hexagonal shape. The flat base of the teapot stand is decorated with the 'Willow Nankin' pattern showing the oriental scene with the willow tree at its centre. The stand is embellished with gilt decoration in the same way as the teapot.

There is an associated oriental border which decorates the raised rim of the teapot stand, including the diaper design between the gilded decoration.

The teapot is marked on the underside with the underglaze 'S' Salopian mark and the teapot stand with the 'Sx' Salopian mark of the famous Caughley factory.
