A rich underglaze Cobalt blue border runs around the top of the sucrier, This is decorated with a trail of gilt leaves and berries. Around the base of the sucrier is a cobalt blue and gilt wreath with a gilt line on the foot rim.

The cover of the sucrier is moulded with the same shanked moulded lines. It too is decorated with the 'Fly' pattern, this includes three gilt flies positioned around the cover, each having between them three gilt flower sprigs.

Condition:

This beautiful 'Flight and Barr' Worcester sucrier and cover are in very good condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or restoration. The only extremely minor imperfections are that on the inner rim of the cover is a patch on the very rim which fells a little rough and speckled, like there is some grit in the glaze, this is shown in the picture below. It is extremely minor and is a manufacturing flaw.

Generally the gilded decoration is in quite good order, but there a few areas of wear particularly around the cover rim and line that borders the blue band, as shown below. Also slight wear to the very tip of the finial
